Cooking with Cricut Challenge #101 - Where Did Summer Go?

Welcome to another challenge Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week's challenge is asking the question, "Where did Summer Go?" Doesn't it always go by way too fast?? This is a mini book made with A2 envelopes and cards that we made in a kids papercrafting class that I taught before the kids went back to school.  It's a great way for them to document all of their many summer memories and pics! You need 8 cards and 8 envelopes and various cardstock colors and stickers depending on your theme. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge for the tags throughout my book and George and Basic Shapes for the mats on the envelope and card fronts. I will be posting a full tutorial soon with all the details of sizes and such. (I am currently out of state at my daughter's house as she just had a new baby so I am pretty busy being Mom and Grandma!) :-) Here are more pics of the inside pages and inserts:

Thank You to Melin Blog Hop! SURPRISE! It's our 100th CWC challenge!

Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop! Why is it so special, you ask?? Well, there are a couple of reasons -  the first being -----> it is our 100th Cooking With Cricut challenge , (WOOHOO!!),  and the second (and most important) is to thank our wonderful leader and “Executive Chef” Melinda Beltran!!! Do I hear a " whoop, whoop"? :-) Melin started the Cooking With Cricut challenges in October 2010 to encourage crafters to find new and different ways to use their Cricut cartridges. And she has accomplished that and so much more! She has given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women, who care for each other; who encourage each other; who lift each other and their families up in prayer; and who have shared their hearts and their art through many outreach projects. I am extremely honored to be a part of this awesome group and I want to personally thank Melin for tir

Winter Mini Album for Cricut Mini Albums

I EDITED MY LABELS ON THIS POST TODAY BUT THE ORIGINAL DATE OF THIS POST WAS NOVEMBER OF 2010. Winter here in Texas is not at all like winters in Ohio where we moved from! No snow here but I have plenty of wintry pics to choose from to put in this mini!  I started with a 5x7 book that I made with my bind-it-all. I really like using the clear covers and black pages!  All of the printed papers and die-cuts were printed and cut using my Cricut Imagine and the Mr. Frosty Imagine cartridge and my Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge. (Love this cartridge!!)  To order this cartridge, click  HERE!  Obviously, you could recreate these cuts and papers using your regular cricut and your own papers.  Now, what would a wintry album be without some glittery accents??  I used Waterfall, Star Dust and Eucalyptus Stickles to add some bling! I also used some winter rub-ons and my white gelly roll pen. Happy New Year and Happy Winter! Remember, if you w

Stacked Boxes with Art Philosophy

Happy Thursday, my crafty friends! So excited that it's my turn to be a guest on SHE'S A SASSY LADY  and  CRICUT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART !!  Be sure to stop over at both of these blogs to see lots of fabulous projects you can make with CTMH products and so much more! Today, I decided to make one of the boxes on the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge that I have been eyeing ever since I saw the project idea in the previous catalog!  Here is my completed set: Now for the details! :-) First I cut the box out on page 21 of the cartridge booklet at  11.12", 8.18" and 6.41".(Font Layer - shift) Then I folded on the score lines, burnished the folds and inked the edges. I'm thinking I can use these boxes to hold some mini cards or gift cards. Here are the boxes stacked and unembellished: I then added some lace ribbon and some tags cut from Art Philosophy and stamped with CTMH stamps. The tickets are also from Art Philosophy and I printed them on m
