Photography Background Decorations

Hello everyone! Today, I'm sharing with you some decorations that I made for my daughter to use on her photography background for Christmas pictures.  (She is an amazing photographer!)  I was so pleased with how they turned out and they looked amazing in her pictures, if I do say so myself! :-) Here is a finished picture and then I will share details: Cricut cartridges used: Pretty Pennants Art Deco When It's Cold Outside I decided to keep the colors neutral since, with Christmas pictures, the subjects clothing tends to be colorful! :-)  Here are a few close-ups: I backed the letters with gold foil paper. I love how it looks as it peeks through! The detail of the snowflakes looks great on the black background! I used mini clothespins to hold the banner pieces on the twine. When my daughter was done and took the backdrop down,  I hung the banner on our wall to display throughout the season! I plan on using it next year too, but I think I will ad

CWC Challenge #118 - Wintery Fun

Welcome to another Wednesday Challenge over at  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS ! This week's challenge is all about fun things we do in the winter! Nothing speaks "winter fun" to me more than a snowman so I made a fun card with an adorable snowman from the Cricut cartridge Snow Friends. (Love that cartridge!) Can't get much easier than this - I just dressed it up with some Stickles and my white gel pen!  Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop over at  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS  to create and link up your own projects that showcase Wintery Fun for a chance to win a great prize!

CWC Challenge # 117 Bundle Up Baby!

Happy Challenge Wednesday, everyone! Welcome to our latest challenge over at  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS ! This week our projects needed to include some winter attire! I chose to do an altered 11x14 frame to clip snapshots to! So fun and easy! The paper I used, of course, has a wintry theme but the paper can be changed out for the seasons! Thanks for stopping by today and remember to stop by  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS  to link up your own "Bundle Up Baby" project for a chance at a great prize!

CRAFT WITH CUTTERS Mini Books Cartridge Showcase

Hello everyone! Today is another Cartridge Showcase over at CRAFT WITH CUTTERS ! Today I am showcasing the awesome Mini Books Project cartridge! There is so much wonderfulness on this cartridge! Mini Books are one of my favorite things to make so when this one came out, I just had to have it!!  You will see that on all 3 projects that I created, I used K and Co.'s double-sided paper. I love their papers for these kind of projects because it looks so much better than a plain/white side.  Here are pics of the 3 projects finished with details about each one following: PROJECT 1: EXPLODING BOX (YES! There is an exploding box cut on this cartridge!)  ---shown on page 11 of the handbook and assembly instructions are on page 17  ---cut at 3.6"  ---paper is K and Co.'s Life Journey Stack ------ isn't it great to be able to see both patterns on all of the papers??                                      All put together! After cutting ----- before ass

We've Moved!

Happy 2nd Thursday of January!! I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and are expecting a new year filled with promise! I can truly say that I am blessed beyond measure and I am so very thankful! I'm excited to embark on another year of sharing projects that inspire me and are so fun to make!  Today's project is also posted over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  and  CRICUT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART ! Be sure to stop by these blogs as there are always new and wonderful things going on! :-) In November, we made a major move from Texas to Ohio to be with our families, namely our grand boys! :-) I am staying super busy with the babies so I haven't got everything situated in my craft area like I want quite yet so I chose a simple, yet useful project to start of my year of crafting! I made "We've Moved" cards to send to our friends and family so they have a special way to remember our new address. \ Card Recipe: Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge - page 24 card, c
