Ladies Tea Party

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share my Ladies Tea Party decor! It's my turn to share over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  so you can also see this post over there.  Our church has a Ladies Tea every year and all the hostesses decorate their own tables however they choose. Of course, my Cricut Explore made this quite easy!! Here is a pic of my table all ready to go!  I made various flowers, including some 3-D ones to scatter around the table. I thought the Kraft paper paired with the different colors of glitter paper would make a colorful statement that could easily be seen through my clear glass plates!  Each hostess also made the food for her guests so I made chicken salad sandwiches and orange tea cookies. The placemat under my tiered display is just a flower doily enlarged to fit nicely inside a 12x12 square of kraft paper.  Thanks for stopping by today!!                ...

Birthday Memory File- revisited

Happy Thursday!  It's my turn to be a guest designer over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  today so I am revisiting a project that I shared over a year ago. (Life has been a little crazy and busy so I pulled this one out of my archives!) :-) I'm sharing a memory file that I made for a friend's 16th birthday.  I love Heidi Swapp's memory files so I created one to help my friend remember her special day! Here is a picture of the completed file and then I'll go into more detail. I started with a plain, standard size file folder. Next, I covered it with paper and stamped the corners with some decorative stamps in my stash. I then began making some elements and embellishments for the cover and inside. I used several Cricut cartridges, including Fabulous Finds, Graphically Speaking, Art Philosophy and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I stamped them with stamps I had. Next, I made a mini book to go inside for putting pictures. I, again, used stamps from m...

Country Picnic Bridal Shower

Hello everyone! I am here today to share with you a fun bridal shower that I helped plan for a sweet young lady at our church! We went with a Country Picnic theme and we had so much fun! Today's post can also be seen over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  since I am the guest designer over there! Here are a few pics and then I'll give you more details under each one: These are the centerpieces we made featuring the, ever popular, mason jars! The mats are 12x12 Kraft paper that has been corner punched with a Lucky 8 punch and an 11x11 bandanna paper that was also corner punched with my Lucky 8 punch. The "Mr. and Mrs." tag was from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge and was cut at 3". This was a cute journaling prompt tag that my friend found on Pinterest so I printed them and then created a tag to fit it! This is a tag that I found on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and, using my Gypsy, I unlinked the H and W to stretch it to the size I needed it to be! Eve...

Ahoy, It's a Boy!

Hello everyone! It's my turn to share over at   SHE'S A SASSY LADY !  It's my pleasure to share some decorations that I made for a friend's baby shower! Here are the pics of our nautical-themed shower: The banner shape is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The other nautical images are from the Lite cartridge Splish Splash. The font for "ASHER EDAN" is from Art Deco.  We punched holes in the mason jar lids to make unique drink containers and made tags, (also from Splish Splash), to decorate the jars.  Close ups. What's a party without cupcake toppers! :-) This nautical theme turned out to be so much fun! Close up of the tags! If you want more details, like paper used, cut sizes, etc., I will be posting more details on my blog shortly. We just moved into our new house and I have been buried in unpacking and getting our house all set up so I need to look back and get all of those details!  Thanks so much for stoppin...

Happy 98th Birthday, Gma!!

Hello everyone! So excited to share some projects with you this month! I'm also sharing these projects over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  so be sure to stop over there to see lots of other awesome projects every day! Recently my Gma, (short for Grandma), turned 98 and we celebrated in grand style! I was in charge of the decorations and I had so much fun doing them! My Gma's sister turned 96 the day after her so we celebrated her too! I made a birthday banner, Chip Decor names and themed centerpieces. I used the Country Life cartridge for the images in this centerpiece because it was perfect to represent her growing up years! The main table that Gma and her sister Lucille sat at. Close up of the banner made using Art Philosophy and Country Life. Used the Hobby Lobby exclusive cartridge, Chip Decor to cover the Chip Decor letters. Made this centerpiece using the Heritage and Country Life cartridges. Gma and Aunt Lucille enjoying their cake and ice cre...

Craft With Cutters Challenge #138 - All About Dear 'ole Dad!

Hello everyone!! I'm here today to share a simple calendar page with you and all of my friends over at  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS  !  I'm revisiting this project to share it with my new followers - You may remember that I did it last year as one of my regular blog posts. If you have seen any of my previous posts, you probably know that I do a different calendar page each month to showcase on my fridge and then add it to my scrapbook in front of all the pics I took that month.  This month, I decided to show how you can make a calendar grid if you don't have the Designer's Calendar cartridge.  Here is my finished page: Let's break it down a bit. To make my grid, I used my Gypsy, (forgot to take a pic of my screen), and lined up 35 - 1.5"squares to form my calendar. The squares I used are from Art Philosophy because I wanted squares with a little scallop on the corners but any square will work.  After the cut, I trimmed the extra off the edges. ...
