Hello everyone! Welcome to another challenge Wednesday here and at  CRAFT WITH CUTTERS  ! Like I said in my title, Cooking with Cricut is now Craft With Cutters. You can still reach our site by typing in  www.cookingwithcricut.com  but that will change soon and I will be sure to let my readers know when that occurs! :-) Ok, now on to this week's challenge: It's all Treats and NO Tricks! We all are doing 3-D projects for you viewing pleasure!   Here is my project this week- a 3-D box from the Cricut Artiste cartridge. This is the box on page 78 and the layer is the cute maple leaf and both are sized at 6.18". Just to remind all of you Cricut users - remember that when you size the box at a certain size, if you keep the the layer the same size with REAL DIAL SIZE turned off, the layer will be a relative size.  Assembly instructions for this box are on page 60 of t...

Yep! It's that day of the week again - Challenge Wednesday, here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week we have a color challenge as well as a design challenge: Here is my project for this week: I used the All Mixed Up and Mother's Day 2010 Cricut cartridges. I used twine to drape the banner across my page and embellished pretty much everything with my white gel pen.  Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up your own creation for this challenge! Be sure to use the color palette above and something from the list of suggested items.

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #105

Welcome to another challenge Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week's challenge is to use apples and/or honey in your project - not the real stuff as that could get a little sticky! :-) Here is the card that I made using Create a Critter and a perfect stamp from Papertrey Ink. Make sure that you stop by  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up your own apple/honey project for a chance to win a great prize!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #104 - Texture

Welcome to another fun challenge Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week is all about texture which is so great to add to your projects! Texture kicks everything up a notch or two! :-) I made a birthday card and added texture by using the birthday cuttlebug folder and then sanding it to show the contrasting color on the inside.  I also used the Walk In My Garden cartridge for the die cut on the front. Although this is a simple and quick way to add texture, it is still very effective in making your card or project pop!  Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to participate in this week's challenge by linking up your own textured project for the chance at a great prize!

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #101 - Where Did Summer Go?

Welcome to another challenge Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week's challenge is asking the question, "Where did Summer Go?" Doesn't it always go by way too fast?? This is a mini book made with A2 envelopes and cards that we made in a kids papercrafting class that I taught before the kids went back to school.  It's a great way for them to document all of their many summer memories and pics! You need 8 cards and 8 envelopes and various cardstock colors and stickers depending on your theme. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge for the tags throughout my book and George and Basic Shapes for the mats on the envelope and card fronts. I will be posting a full tutorial soon with all the details of sizes and such. (I am currently out of state at my daughter's house as she just had a new baby so I am pretty busy being Mom and Grandma!) :-) Here are more pics of the inside pages and inserts: ...

Thank You to Melin Blog Hop! SURPRISE! It's our 100th CWC challenge!

Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop! Why is it so special, you ask?? Well, there are a couple of reasons -  the first being -----> it is our 100th Cooking With Cricut challenge , (WOOHOO!!),  and the second (and most important) is to thank our wonderful leader and “Executive Chef” Melinda Beltran!!! Do I hear a " whoop, whoop"? :-) Melin started the Cooking With Cricut challenges in October 2010 to encourage crafters to find new and different ways to use their Cricut cartridges. And she has accomplished that and so much more! She has given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women, who care for each other; who encourage each other; who lift each other and their families up in prayer; and who have shared their hearts and their art through many outreach projects. I am extremely honored to be a part of this awesome group and I want to personally thank Melin for tir...

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #96 - Christmas In July

Welcome to another challenge Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week we are cooking up our Christmas In July projects using our scraps! This is a great project for using some of my seemingly endless stash of scraps!  I'm sharing a few pics of how I store my scraps and keep them organized. This is a file cart that I got at an office supply store - it is just perfect for keeping my scraps organized by color! It fits so neatly under my Cricut table!  Here is my completed mini album for our grandson's first Christmas. It is a Piggy Tales lift-the-flap album. It was so easy to decorate because I had so many gorgeous papers in my scraps stash! I used Lyrical Letters and Jolly Holidays for the cover. The inside pages: The baby bird is from 3 Birds on Parade. The filmstrip is from Wall Decor and More. The "smile" and camera are from Going Places. The Christmas Tree is from Cheerful Seasons - I think! :-/ I forgot to w...
