Happy Anniversary!

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday here and over at  EXPLORING CRICUT ! I am excited to share a 30th anniversary banner and other decorations that I made for some close friends for their surprise party that their children gave them! I used Lyrical Letters for the font, Elegant Edges for the signs and Gyspy Wanderings for the fleur de lis. I embossed each circle with a rose embossing folder. I love the extra dimension that the embossing gives this project! This was the sign that was tied to the basket where cards were placed. This was hung in the middle of the banner. Close-up to show detail. The banner was so long I had to lay it on my floor to take a pic. My daughter took pics at the party so she has the one of it hanging on the wall. More detail close-ups. Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out  EXPLORING CRICUT  everyday for lots of creative inspiration and to play along with our current challenge!

Mother's Day Centerpiece

Hello everyone! Today is my turn again to share with you all and everyone over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY ! I am continuing the post I started yesterday because I thought it would be really helpful to show, in detail, how the giant flowers go together. They are soooo cool! Here is my finished project using Giant Flowers, Florals Embellished, Elegant Edges and Sweethearts: I started with the Giant Flowers cartridge and cut the Lotus flower at 6.5".  There are lots of petals to cut to make this flower, but the instructions in the cartridge booklet are very clear on how many to cut of each kind of petal and exactly where they all fit into the base. My Gypsy made this project so much easier since I can name each layer that I am cutting. I simply filled mats with each different type of petal and named that layer however many I would need to cut of that petal.  For example: If I needed 12 of a particular petal, that name of that layer is CUT 12. Hopefully y...

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #85 - Mother's Day Gifts

Hello everyone and welcome to another crafty Wednesday here and over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT ! This week's challenge is all about our Moms! We all made gifts - NO cards! Here is what I made - a Mother's Day centerpiece! I used the following Cricut cartridges: Giant Flowers Florals Embellished Sweethearts Elegant Edges I started with the Lotus flower from Giant Flowers and cut it at 6.5".  There are lots of petals to cut to make this flower, but the instructions in the cartridge booklet are very clear on how many to cut of each kind of petal and exactly where they all fit into the base. Here is the finished flower before adding the center pieces: I actually thought I was done with it at this point but decided to take it a step further by adding the Mother's Day signs! To find out even more details about this project, check back here on Thursday for the lengthy instructions on how the giant flowers go together and a great way to organi...

Family Quizzes Mini Album

Hi everybody! Hope you're all having a great day! It's sunny and warm here in Branson, MO, as I sit and type this! We have been traveling together as a family because my husband's job takes him all over the place! I've been able to take some craft stuff with me - (but not nearly enough!) :-) Since I have limited supplies with me, I have to be even more resourceful in making projects!  I brought several  Club Ruby  kits with me to make things easier.  When papers and embellishments are coordinated like they are in these awesome kits, projects come together like a breeze! I am a guest designer over at Sheila's blog:  She's a Sassy Lady  today so this project is featured there too! So many great tutorials over there so check it out if you haven't already! I'm also using this project as my entry in the Cricut Circle Blogaversary challenge. This is the sketch we had to work from so I modified it for my mini album cover. Today's project was inspired b...
