Christmas Tag Swap 2013

Happy Thursday, everyone! Today I am sharing the tags I made for our Sassy Designers tag swap this past Christmas! I'm also sharing them over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  because it's my turn over there!  I had planned on posting this months ago but it has been a crazy couple of months, with moving into a new house and starting a new job! At any rate, here is a pic of the finished tags and then I'll share some step-by-step pics. Cricut cartridges used: Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 - Tag, 6.25"H CTMH Artbooking ----> ornament overlay- 5.12"H,  ornament medallion - 2"H,  and snowflake - 1.75"H Here are the tag and overlay cuts before adhering them together. I stamped my blog stamp and signed the back of each one before finishing them so I wouldn't mess anything up on the other side. :-) Here is a trick I used to get an even coating of adhesive for the glitter to adhere to. I ran my tags through the Xyron sticker maker, ...

Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary Celebration Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 2 of our week-long Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary celebration! Today we are showcasing creations that feature pearls in one form or another. I created my card by printing the background paper and the flower from the Vintage Papers Imagine cartridge.  I cut the flower from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge. (If you would like to purchase this fabulous cartridge, click  HERE!  I inked the edges of the background paper and the flower.  I used Liquid Pearls for my pearl accents. I absolutely LOVE how the Liquid Pearls look when they dry! They are just perfect and come in all kinds of colors! Here is a close-up of the flower. I did a dot of Liquid Pearls in the center, as well. Thanks for stopping by today and remember that you have a chance to win some great prizes this week just for playing along - so head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up your own creation in this challenge!  Reme...

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #84 - Teacher Appreciation Projects

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Welcome to another fun challenge over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! This week's challenge is all about teachers! We all made something that we could give to a special teacher in our lives.  I chose a home decor piece - a frame that I took the glass out of and framed a sentiment. My particular project doesn't have a school "feel" to it so it could easily be adapted to a different special someone who isn't a teacher. I used the Florals Embellished Cricut cartridge and cut this and the layer at 4.18". I wrapped some lace ribbon around the backing before putting it back in the frame, tied a bow and stuck some stick pins through the bow and glued some paper flowers to them. Easy, huh? :-)  I embellished the frame, the image and the paper flowers with Stickles and Liquid Pearls! I use these all the time!  Here are some close-ups: Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link...

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #80 Easter

It's Wednesday, and that means time for another challenge over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! This week we made Easter projects.  Lots of variety of inspiration and beautiful projects are showcased! I used the Easter 2010 seasonal cartridge for the title and the flower and Elegant Edges for the sign base.  I spruced up my sign with some Stickles and some liquid pearls.  I LOVE liquid pearls - they kind of make my border look like it has little lights on it! :-) This cute little 5" sign is perfect atop my Easter candy dish! Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to play along and link up your own Easter project for a chance to win a great prize!
