Ladies Tea Party

Hello everyone!! I'm here to share my Ladies Tea Party decor! It's my turn to share over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  so you can also see this post over there.  Our church has a Ladies Tea every year and all the hostesses decorate their own tables however they choose. Of course, my Cricut Explore made this quite easy!! Here is a pic of my table all ready to go!  I made various flowers, including some 3-D ones to scatter around the table. I thought the Kraft paper paired with the different colors of glitter paper would make a colorful statement that could easily be seen through my clear glass plates!  Each hostess also made the food for her guests so I made chicken salad sandwiches and orange tea cookies. The placemat under my tiered display is just a flower doily enlarged to fit nicely inside a 12x12 square of kraft paper.  Thanks for stopping by today!!                ...

Happy Birthday Centerpiece

Hi, everyone! Today I am sharing a little Thursday inspiration with you and everyone over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY !  I am always making centerpieces as gifts for people. I like to think of them more as paper bouquets! :-)  I made this one for a co-worker and she was amazed that I made it! (I just didn't tell her how easy it really was!) :-)  I used several different cartridges like Sweet Treats, Birthday Bash, Birthday Cakes and Celebrate. I simply cut my images out at the size I thought would look best and attached them to wood skewers and stuck them in a foam block inside a mason jar.  I used tissue paper to hide the foam block! So easy! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Baby Shower Time and this time IT'S A GIRL!!!

So, I have thoroughly enjoyed creating decorations for my grandsons' baby showers - all 4 of them! But now we have added a granddaughter to our family and I am thrilled to make some girly decorations!!! Today it's my turn to share over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  so I just had to share my excitement there too! Be sure to check out Sheila's blog for awesome, daily inspiration!!  I decided to make a big centerpiece in a basket. Here is what I came up with: Here are some close-ups: I got all the various cuts from Cricut Cartridges. I can't seem to remember them all but I know I used Creative Memories Tiny Treasures, Cricut Lite Sugar and Spice, Baby Steps, Cricut Lite Cupcakes and Sweet Treats. There are so many great images to choose from that I just had to pick a bunch!! I also wrote on a chalkboard sign:  I also made a little snowflake banner that can be hung up in her room! I attached the snowflakes to the dowel...

IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm here to share some decorations and a recipe from our recent International Dinner we held at our church. I am also featuring this project over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  so be sure to stop over there and see the amazing new projects that are shared there every day!  Our church hosts this dinner every year to "celebrate" all the missionaries that we support throughout the year and this year I took Greece. We just do appetizer-size portions because everyone likes to sample from all the tables. I made a Garlicky Feta Dip that surprised me by being a total hit! We all just decorate our tables however we want so I kept it kind of simple by just having a few decos. My sign before decorating it..... A centerpiece that I made with images from the MY WORLD cartridge and the DESTINATIONS cartridge.  Close-up of the luggage tag that I wrote GREECE on.  Close-up of the centerpiece.  Here is my table all ready t...

Our Truman is 2!!

Hello everyone! Today is my turn to share over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  and I am sharing some fun party decorations that I and our daughter made for our grandson Truman's 2nd birthday!  First of all, here is a picture of our precious boy - He makes us so very happy! Truman's party theme was The Lorax so all the decorations were bright and colorful!  My daughter had everyone sign inside the front and back covers of this book as a memento! Such a great idea! I used a flower shadow from the Bloom cartridge to look like a truffula tree for the banner. The font was from Chalkboard Fonts. The clouds are from the April Showers cartridge.  This was how it looked all together! Close up of the cake my daughter made! Cotton candy made the truffle trees! Cute truffula tree cupcakes! My daughter made these with paper pom poms and attached them to large wood skewers to look like truffula trees! I think they are so cute!...
