LOVE Notes Container

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I wanted to share a Valentine project that I made for Sheila's wonderful blog :  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  a few weeks back!  This Love Notes Container is perfect for tucking little love notes in - for that special someone or everyone in your house! :-)  Here is the finished container. I used the fabulous papers and embellishments in the February kit from  CLUB RUBY DESIGNERS  . (As a side note, Club Ruby Designers as we know it right now will be ending so head over there to take advantage of a great sale on past kits! Don't worry, bigger and better things are on the way!!) I started with an 18oz. empty oatmeal container. Cut a 6 5/8"x12" piece of pink card stock. Wrap around the container and adhere. There will be a small gap but we'll be covering that up next. Cut a 1 1/2"x6 3/4" strip of black dot paper to adhere and cover the gap. This will be the front. Cut another strip from the same paper measuring 2 1/2"x6 3/4...

Filled Heart Pocket Card

Well, it's almost Valentine's Day so I came up with a different kind of card this year! I thought it would be fun to make a 3-D pocket on the front of a card with little hearts popping out of it!   I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart - you know, the cartridge with so much awesomeness on it!!! :-)  The papers and embellishments are from the Club Ruby Designers February kit.  If you are not familiar with Club Ruby and would like to be, click  HERE! This is the finished card! The recipe is as follows: Start with a 4.25" x 11" piece of Kraft card stock. Score and fold in half to make a 4.25" x 5.5" card. Cut a mat for the front of the card sized at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". I rounded the corners of the mat and the card base.  Using the Art Philosophy cartridge, cut the Font layer shift on page 26 at 4.65" and assemble as shown. Mount the heart to the front of the card.
