Hello everyone, hope you're having a creative week! Here is another challenge from all of us over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  !  This week is all about things blingy! :-)  They say that diamonds are a girls best friend so we created projects with bling on them to inspire you! I decided to pull out my Art Philosophy cartridge from  CLOSE TO MY HEART  and it never disappoints! I started with the bag on page 23 of the cartridge handbook and cut it at 6.41".  The filigree frame cut is on page 67 and was cut at 2.88". Lastly, the "J" was cut at 1.94".  Here are a couple of close-ups. I tried to show off my glittery paper but it is really hard to show on camera!  Now to the really fun part - add the bling! It's my turn to do a cartridge showcase over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! I chose this cartridge because it has so much to offer, (and there is  sooooo much to learn!) I really do love this cartridge, but I have to tell you, there is a bit of a learning curve in using the scoring tool that is designed to work with this cartridge.  This is definitely something I will have to take more time working on! Hello everyone! Welcome to another Challenge Wednesday at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! This weeks challenge is celebrating National Letter Writing Month! (You know, the old-fashioned way to keep in touch!) :-)  This week, we were asked to create a card to send to someone or a scrapbook layout featuring a letter. For my project this week, I decided to make a note card folder, complete with 4 note cards and envelopes! I got this idea from Sheila at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  .  She made me a little folder with monogrammed note cards and envelopes and I absolutely love it! Anyway, here is how I made the folder: Start with an 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock and score and fold at 5.5" (long side) and 2.5" (short side). Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope that spring has sprung by now in your neck of the woods! It has actually been hot here! (85-90 degrees!) Gotta love Texas! :-)  Anyway, today is my day to share a special project with you all and everyone over at  She's a Sassy Lady ! Please take some time to visit over there and prepare to be inspired! Saturdays are especially fun with Sheila's Gypsy Made Simple challenges!! I have this amazing recipe for Caramel Corn that you make in the microwave! Yes, you read that right - in the microwave! So much easier and less time consuming than making it in the oven! Yay!! I'm sharing the recipe and the adorable popcorn box that I made to package some in to give away! Here is the recipe -NOTE:  It is very important to adhere to the time instructions listed. 6 qt. popped corn (unsalted) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 1/4 c. light corn syrup 1 c. brown sugar Pop popcorn and put in large microwavable bowl. Set aside....

It's Wednesday, and that means time for another challenge over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! This week we made Easter projects.  Lots of variety of inspiration and beautiful projects are showcased! I used the Easter 2010 seasonal cartridge for the title and the flower and Elegant Edges for the sign base.  I spruced up my sign with some Stickles and some liquid pearls.  I LOVE liquid pearls - they kind of make my border look like it has little lights on it! :-) This cute little 5" sign is perfect atop my Easter candy dish!
