Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #92 It's Hot Outside!!

Happy Summer, everyone!! Whew! Here in Texas, it's HOT!!! Like 106 degrees, HOT! Welcome to another challenge Wednesday at COOKING WITH CRICUT ! Today's theme is all about celebrating fun things to do in and around water!
I chose to do a two-page layout to feature pics from a trip to the Water Park.  I used the H20 seasonal cricut cartridge.  This cartridge is a fantastic summer cartridge! Here are my completed layouts:

Now for some close-ups and more details!

I cut the water slide at 11.59" which is what my Cricut sized it to when I did fit-to-page. The bottom layer is blue Coordinations canvas texture card stock and the top layer is Coordinations glitter paper.

You will notice throughout these layouts that it appears that there is water splashed on the pages...... that is CTMH's Liquid Glass! I love that stuff!!! It is the perfect product for this project!! If you don't have a CTMH consultant, and would like to purchase this product or any other,  feel free to visit my site HERE!

More close-ups:
The sun and layer was cut at 4" and I used Diamond Stickles and Cotton Candy Stickles to embellish it.

This post card is from a K and Company stack. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Kinda hard to see the glitter paper here but you can see the "water" droplets! :-)

Here is the 2nd page:

"All Wet" was cut at 2" and "Splish Splash" was cut at 2.75". Both cuts were embellished with Liquid Glass!

I also used Liquid Glass on the corners of the photo mats!

Trying to give you a good look at how wet everything looks! :-)

"Water Park" was cut at 4". I had some Creative Memories water paper that I used for this! Perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head over to COOKING WITH CRICUT to link up your own project showing how you like to beat the heat!

I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge for the postage stamp cut on the front of each card and used my Gypsy to cut them so I could unlink the H and W so it would be 3.75" square. The valentine cuts for the front of the ca

She is our wonderful host for this hop!  On to my project: I decided to make a Spring mini album to showcase a few pictures that I took at the Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, TX.  What is more telling of Spring than flowers?!   I used the Card/Tag feature on the Paisley Cricut cartridge and used paper from the DCWV Spring cardstack. (I think this stack was from last year or maybe even the year before! :-) I'm just finally using it! )  The paper flowers throughout are from the 3 Birds Pretty Petals collection.  Read to the end of this post to find the link for the next blog to hop to and for my blog candy!
