Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the first ever, Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop!! We are so excited that you are joining us today! If you just happened upon my blog and would like to check out this entire hop, please head back to www.craftychicsblog.blogspot.com to start at the beginning to see what this is all about!! We are showcasing the products of ABOVE RUBIES STUDIO to celebrate all the wonderful moments we are blessed with! Megan made a huge announcement today so be sure to hop over to ABOVE RUBIES STUDIO for that bit of awesome news too!! :-)

Here is our line up for today's blog hop:

Ok, on to my project! I am featuring Megan Elizabeth's awesome Paper Layerz paper!! If you have never used this amazing paper, you must try it out for yourself! There is a link on my sidebar that will allow you to purchase it directly through my blog! I also used a couple of other Megan Elizabeth products - Adhesive Squares and Sparkle Lights!

Here is my finished project:

Here is a list of the products and materials used:
manila file folder
Simple Stories Summer Flash Cards
DCWV Heirloom Stack
DCWV World Traveler Stack
Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Smash Pad- Travels (tag)
Summer Celebrations Cricut Cartridge
CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
Cherish the Day CTMH stamp set
Printing Press Cricut Cartridge
Megan Elizabeth Adhesive Squares
Megan Elizabeth Sparkle Lights
Megan Elizabeth Paper Layerz
other various embellishments from my stash :-)

I started by covering a regular file folder with some paper from the DCWV World Traveler stack and adhering some ribbon on the "spine".

On the inside I cut a piece of paper to fit on the bottom left to make a pocket for all the tags I put in there.

Here are the cut- outs I made with the Paper Layerz - well, all except for the "vacation" sign. That was stamped. This paper makes is soooo easy to cut images and phrases with your die-cut machine because you can just put one sheet of paper on your mat and cut away!! Here are pics from some previous posts of mine where I have used Paper Layerz. I wanted to show you the sheets after I have cut from them.  There is still plenty of room for cuts for future projects!!

Here are some of these cuts on the front:

Don't you just LOVE this little suitcase from the Summer Celebrations cartridge??!! Paper Layerz made it soooo easy to cut out!

Notice the dot on the "i". It looks like I put a little pink light bulb on it, doesn't it? Well, that is a Megan Elizabeth Sparkle light!! Isn't it just awesome!!??

I stamped this sign and then cut it out. I placed some Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon behind it.

Another Megan Elizabeth Sparkle Light dotting the "i"! Paper Layerz was used here too!

This is the cut from the Printing Press Cricut Cartridge.

Now the fun part - I just placed the tags, journaling boxes, flash cards and other embellishments all over the place and this is what I came up with:

The ticket on the front of this pocket is a cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and it is stamped with a stamp from the "Cherish the Day" CTMH stamp set.

Lots of room for journaling and jotting down special details!

This little card is a cut from the Summer Celebrations cartridge and was cut from the Paper Layerz paper! Isn't it just adorable?

Good reminder stamped on the inside of the little card! :-)

I just couldn't leave the back blank so I thought I would write the question we are always thinking about when vacation is over - "Where to next?" :-)

Check back in a few days because I will be adding a page in the middle to place photos!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and are ready to hop to the next blog! Head on over to the super-talented, Cheri by clicking HERE! Thanks so much for stopping by and remember to "ENJOY THE MOMENTS!"

I made a box to put a set of Valentine's cards in. I used a 12x12 piece of double-sided cardstock from K and Co. The cards are made with Kraft paper and are a 4x4 size. I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge for the postage stamp cut on the front of each card and used my Gypsy to cut them so I could unlink the H and W so it would be 3.75" square. The valentine cuts for the front of the ca

(I think this stack was from last year or maybe even the year before! :-) I'm just finally using it! )  The paper flowers throughout are from the 3 Birds Pretty Petals collection.  Read to the end of this post to find the link for the next blog to hop to and for my blog candy!
