Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop! Why is it so special, you ask?? Well, there are a couple of reasons - the first being -----> it is our 100th Cooking With Cricut challenge , (WOOHOO!!), and the
second (and most important) is to thank our wonderful leader and “Executive Chef” Melinda Beltran!!! Do I hear a "whoop, whoop"? :-)
Melin started the Cooking With Cricut challenges in October 2010 to encourage crafters to find new and different ways to use their Cricut cartridges. And she has accomplished that and so much more! She has given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women, who care for each other; who encourage each other; who lift each other and their families up in prayer; and who have shared their hearts and their art through many outreach projects. I am extremely honored to be a part of this awesome group and I want to personally thank Melin for tirelessly keeping us all challenged and excited about our passion of crafting and creating!!
So this is our SURPRISE “Thank You” tribute to our beloved Melin! If you came from Jamie A’s blog ----> LINK HERE , you’re in the right place! If you’ve joined us in mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning, please head back to Cooking With Cricut -----> LINK HERE – you won’t want to miss any of these awesome cards!!
Here is my card:
I stamped my sentiment on a scrap of kraft paper.

Now for the details on how to make one of these cards for your own:
CRICUT CARTRIDGES USED:
Designer's Calendar
CTMH Art Philosophy
First I cut 3 different colors of the squared pumpkin from Designer's Calendar at 4".
Next, I welded two square scalloped squares from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to make a card. The shapes were 5.86" before welding.
Now, take the brown pumpkin and adhere it to the front of the card.
Next, cut the green pumpkin out of the frame and adhere it on top of the brown pumpkin.
Cut the orange pumpkin out of its frame, also, but this time also cut off the stem.
Now to add some texture, emboss the orange pumpkin with a swirls embossing folder and adhere it on top of the green pumpkin. I also inked the embossing for a little extra color.
I tied a small piece of twine around the green stem.
I cut 2 different leaves from Designer's Calendar at 2" and embossed them also before adhering them to the card.
And there you have it...... a thank-you card with lots of fun detail! It's all for you, Melin! :-)
Thanks so much for hopping with us. We hope you’ll join us and leave your own “thank you” in the
comment section for Melin at CWC! Now it’s time to head on over to Melissa at Crafty Gator ------> LINK HERE – she’s the next stop on this party train! Choo, choo...............
