Birthday Memory File

Happy Thursday to everyone here and over at  THE BUGBYTES ! It's my turn to be guest designer over there! Today I want to share a memory file that I made for a friend's 16th birthday. I love Heidi Swapp's memory files so I created one to help my friend remember her special day! Here is a picture of the completed file and then I'll go into more detail. I started with a plain, standard size file folder. Next, I covered it with paper and stamped the corners with some decorative stamps in my stash. I then began making some elements and embellishments for the cover and inside. I used several Cricut cartridges, including Fabulous Finds, Graphically Speaking, Art Philosophy and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I stamped them with stamps I had. Crafting with Cutters Challenge #123 Things with Wings

Welcome to another challenge Wednesday at  CRAFTING WITH CUTTERS ! This week our challenge is THINGS WITH WINGS so I decided to do a "jazzed-up" baby boy card. :-) I used the Teresa Collins Cricut Imagine cartridge, Baby Boutique for the heart with wings cut out. I print and cut this image out in layers to add dimension then dressed it up with stickles. I used a Cuttlebug folder for the background and then brushed some white ink over the embossing to make it stand out a little more.  Thanks for stopping by today and remember to stop over at  CRAFTING WITH CUTTERS  to link up your own "Things with Wings" for a chance at a great prize!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day. everyone!! I'm so tickled to share with everyone here,  everyone over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY  and over at  CRICUT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART ! I made some photo props for my daughter to use in taking Valentine pics of our grandsons and some friends! They turned out so good - but the stars of these pics are, most definitely, our grandsons! They just melt my heart! Sorry if I'm gushing here, but they just complete my world!! We are truly blessed! I'll post a few pics and then give some details about what cartridges, cuts and sizes were used to make the props. Remember, you can click on the pictures to view them bigger!  By the way, our daughter took these amazing pictures! Our 5 1/2 month old grandson, Truman! Yes, he's a big boy and oh, so kissable!! Our 21-month old grandson, Seth, who can be so serious and so funny at the same time! Seth and our 26-month old grandson, Langston, who are great play pals! This picture sequence is hi...
