Cooking With Cricut Cartridge Showcase - TBBM2

Hi fellow crafters!! If you came here today looking for my Cooking with Cricut Challenge #82 post, CLICK HERE  or scroll down to the post below this one.  Today's post is all about the new cartridge, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2! It's my turn to do a cartridge showcase over at COOKING WITH CRICUT ! I chose this cartridge because it has so much to offer, (and there is  sooooo much to learn!)

I really do love this cartridge, but I have to tell you, there is a bit of a learning curve in using the scoring tool that is designed to work with this cartridge.  This is definitely something I will have to take more time working on! I'm hoping to do a video on this because I know there are more people like me who need some help with this cartridge! :-)

TBBM2 is a full cartridge that has lots of shaped boxes, tags, cards and card phrases and is designed to work with the Cricut scoring tool and the Cricut gel pens.

My first 2 projects are cards. The cupcake card is on page 56 of the handbook and the circle flap card is on page 72.
Sorry for the messy pic - I dropped my card when the Stickles were still wet! :-(

I backed the cupcake cut-out with bright pink paper so it would show through easily. This card is cut @ 5". I tried the scoring tool to see how it works and this is how I made it work.  After cutting the card, DON'T unload your mat. If you are using a Gypsy, (as I did), touch RETURN TO DESIGN and click shift for the image you are wanting to score, making sure that your cursor is set the the same size as your cut image.  Line the score lines up on your original cut - being careful not to move your original image. Once you have the lines matched up, replace the cutting blade with the scoring tool and press cut again. It will simply go over the cuts again and score where needed.  Do you see why a video would be helpful here? :-)

This circle flap card is very simple but you could really have some fun embellishing this! I could also see it as a great invitation card!

This next box is one of the big reasons that I got this cartridge! I made a mini pizza box - cut at 6.5". I ned more practice using the scoring tool for this cut, so I just referred to the instruction booklet that comes with this cartridge. It shows where the score lines are.

I think this little box would be perfect with a decorated cookie in it or even a gift card! Just imagine the possibilities when you make this box even larger!

Lastly, I made the tea bag holder. I cut it at 5" which is a little big but it actually works for a Family Size iced tea bag! :-)  It has just enough dimension for a tea bag to fit snuggly inside.

I hope you have enjoyed this exploration of TBBM2! I know that I have a lot to learn when it comes to using this cartridge to its fullest ~ and I will have fun doing it! :-)

Now go create your own masterpiece and show the world!

Hi there, I know this is an older post, but could you resize that pizza box to your own dimensions?
Thanks in advance!
Anonymous, since this cut is on a Cricut cart, you can size this any size you want that will fit on a cricut mat - even a 12x24 size mat. Thanks for asking!

Hello everyone and welcome to the "Be My Valentine" blog hop!! This is the first blog hop that I have had the opportunity to participate in and I've had so much fun!   If you arrived here from  Macy Bella Designs  then you're on the right track. There are even some blogs that have blog candy - (like ME!)  After you check out my project, your next stop will be  Crafty Baskets  . Now, on to my project!! I made a box to put a set of Valentine's cards in. I used a 12x12 piece of double-sided cardstock from K and Co. The cards are made with Kraft paper and are a 4x4 size. I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge for the postage stamp cut on the front of each card and used my Gypsy to cut them so I could unlink the H and W so it would be 3.75" square. The valentine cuts for the front of the ca

Think Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to the THINK SPRING BLOG HOP!!  You should have arrived here from the amazingly talented  Crafty Baskets  !  If you just happened upon my blog, be sure to go back to the beginning at  Creations With Kathryn  . She is our wonderful host for this hop!  On to my project: I decided to make a Spring mini album to showcase a few pictures that I took at the Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, TX.  What is more telling of Spring than flowers?!   I used the Card/Tag feature on the Paisley Cricut cartridge and used paper from the DCWV Spring cardstack. (I think this stack was from last year or maybe even the year before! :-) I'm just finally using it! )  The paper flowers throughout are from the 3 Birds Pretty Petals collection.  Read to the end of this post to find the link for the next blog to hop to and for my blog candy! This is a pic of an open page. Now for my blog candy!!  Just leave me a comment on this post with a way to contact you -

My Pink Stamper Challenge

My Pink Stamper has posted a challenge today to any and all who would like a shot at being on her design team! My project needed to use a favorite Cricut cartridge and the colors: pink, green and brown and another color of my choice. I used my Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons cartridge and my Imagine with the Mr. Frosty pattern cartridge and Snapshot Everyday cartridges. I am going to frame this project so I can always look at my sweet little, brand-new grandson!! The mat behind this adorable picture was printed and cut on my Imagine from the standard shapes on the Imagine and the Mr. Frosty cartridge. I really like this snowflake pattern! This is a close-up of the tree and layers from page 60 of my Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cricut cartridge and was cut at 3.5"H. I used Star Dust Stickles to make the "snow" on the tree look like it was glistening! Notice the "wood" paper for the tree trunk - this is a texture pattern on the Snapshot Everyday Imagine
